Fraud Alert: Phone and E-Mail Scams
Never Give out Personal Information via Telephone or E-mail.
Be alert when answering the phone or receiving e-mails asking you to update your information with the Credit Union. Please know that SkyOne would never call or e-mail you to ask you to update your personal information.
What to Do if You Get a Call or E-mail
If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from SkyOne asking you to update your personal information, ask them for a phone number to call back with the information. Chances are they’ll give you a wrong number. Hang up and call us at 800.421.7111 immediately to report the incident.
If you receive an e-mail asking you to validate your PIN or asking for other sensitive and/or personal information, do not respond or click on any links. Call us immediately to report the incident.
Tips to Keeping Your Personal Information Safe:
- Never give out personal information, passwords, credit card numbers or PIN numbers when you receive a telephone call
- Never send sensitive information such as passwords, credit card numbers, social security numbers, or PINs in an e-mail
- Never click directly on links in an e-mail that requests that information, even if you recognize and trust the address
