Bump up to a higher rate and give yourself a raise. With SkyOne Certificates (that open or renew on or after October 1, 2006) with terms of 24 months or longer, you can bump up to a higher rate. Let's say you buy a certificate with a two-year term at a fixed-rate. If interest rates increase after you open your account, you can request a one-time interest rate hike. Your certificate will earn at the higher rate without penalty or fees. We allow one bump per term. You've got nothing to lose with a bump up Certificate. If rates go down, you're already locked in. If rates increase, you'll have a one-time opportunity to bump your Certificate to a higher yield.
SkyOne offers its highest yield for balances of $100,000 or more. Choose any term from six months to three years. You'll start with one of the highest interest rates on the market. And, you can take advantage of any rate increases with a one-time bump up rate on Certificates with two-year terms and longer. If you've got money sitting in your savings account or money market fund, it's time to move your money, and earn higher yields.
- You choose your own term length, anywhere from 6 months to 36 months or more - as long as you like
- Dividends are paid quarterly, and can be paid monthly if deposited directly into your SkyOne checking or savings account. (This does not apply to IRA Certificate accounts.)
- All Certificates up to 18-month terms are available as add-on Certificates. At any time during the term, as often as you like, you may deposit additional funds into your Certificate at no charge. Keep in mind that the dividend rate will remain the same until the end of your term, even if your balance exceeds the maximum amount in your current tier level
- Guaranteed insured savings make Certificates a wise investment. A certificate account offers a great alternative to a risky stock market. It also offers an easy, but secure way to put away a down payment for a future home purchase, save for college, or add cash to your portfolio. And, certificates give you some of the best insured rates around. All SkyOne Certificates are insured up to $500,000 per member.
