 What is Courtesy Pay?
Courtesy Pay is a benefit offered to qualified* SkyOne members, providing peace of mind should your checking balance run low. In the event that your available funds are insufficient, Courtesy Pay allows your debit transactions, ACH, checks and bill payments to clear for a fee**. This service helps protect you against the inconvenience and embarrassment of bounced checks or declined transactions, not to mention the resulting costs such as late payment penalties and interest charges.

As a result of a new federal law, consumers must opt in to continue to receive Courtesy Pay overdraft coverage benefits on their non-recurring debit card transactions. That means your SkyOne debit card transactions will be declined if you do not have sufficient funds in your checking account – unless you have opted in to receive SkyOne’s Courtesy Pay coverage on your debit card.
Why opt in?
By opting in to this service, your debit card transactions will be cleared (up to $1,500 if you have direct deposit of at least $500; or up to $500 if you do not have direct deposit). Keep in mind that you still must meet the eligibility requirements for Courtesy Pay. ATM withdrawals are not covered.

*Subject to eligibility. Eligibility requirements are as follows: 1) Member must have a checking account open for at least 120 days; 2) No more than one non-paid Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) in a 12-month rolling period, or 120 days for new accounts; 3) Member must maintain an aggregate 3-month average daily balance (ADB) on all depository accounts (i.e. savings, checking, money market, certificates) of $100 or more; and 4) Member must be in good standing, which means no delinquent or charged off loans or charged off share accounts with SkyOne Federal Credit Union, and have no ChexSystems records. **$30 per transaction cleared by Courtesy Pay.
